I'm A Book Shark

Freelance copyeditor to all amazing self-published and independent authors. Check out my editing page for more information. <3 Mickey is the blogger behind I’m A Book Shark. She really wishes there was a better explanation for why she’s a book shark. A new twitter name was needed, and it had to be about her favorite hobby: reading! For whatever reason, sharks also came to mind, and a book shark was born. Besides reading, Mickey is a natural reddish-headed, late-twenties, tattooed, entertainment-of-all-kinds lover, wife of husband, mother of reptiles (and a cat and two puppies, all spoiled), student, employee, boss, and (mostly) raw vegan. Oh yeah, and she likes to blog. www.imabookshark.com

The Adoration of Jenna Fox - Mary E. Pearson I really got sucked into this book from the beginning. Jenna Fox wakes up from a coma and has no idea who she is anymore. She spends the first half of the book trying to find out. And the answers she receives are astounding. This is definitely a sci-fi type book, so it won't be at all what you think!

This book was inspired by the author's own daughters who were diagnosed with cancer. The whole novel explores how far a parent will go for their child, what risks they are willing to take, and the ethics that go with their choices.

I enjoyed the mystery, all the twists and turns, and even the science behind this story. It turned out to be very unpredictable, but the end left me wanting a bit more. I can't even imagine something like this novel, so I appreciated the creativity and imagination.
