This one did not blow me away by any means, but I read it quickly and enjoyed it for the most part. I was sadly disappointed at the end though. I'm not the biggest fan of this book, but I would definitely like to read something else by this author. She doesn't always write verse novels, so I might like something else by her. I felt the way her parents felt, which made me feel old. 15 is so young to be so serious! Haha. ;o)
Using verse in this novel seemed to be a bit pointless. She didn't utilize it as well as Ellen Hopkins does, in my opinion. Hopkins has mastered it; Schroeder has a ways to go before she's proficient. Some of the pages just didn't flow right. Some pages worked really well. I guess I just wanted more from this one. Glad it didn't take too long to read.
